OPTICA FESTIVAL PREMIERE 2010, JUANMA CARRILLO SPECIAL CYCLE MADRID, PARIS, GIJÓN, NEW YORK, CORDOBA AND LA PAZ

Working halfway between documentary and fiction. Experiment ten actors performing in front of the camera spaces and real situations. Wait at it, the "expected" as gifted dramatic situation of a situationand simple but common fictionalized and real, (a woman waiting for her husband, a bride expects to make a decision, a girl waits for her mother ...). Each sequence takes place in a single location, most with a game of reflexes and windows, inviting the viewer to see more of what we sense a priori in the plane, and with reference the painter Edward Hooper aesthetics creating a true theatrical staging. The incursion of the element artificial, in the purest reality, letting them cross to camera, strollers, car dealers, waiters ... Long sequence shots, which dominates ambient noise aside in every situation what the characters have and feel, the experimental process completes it, the way that information is
given to the actors, who neither know the identity of the other actors, much less the plot than its own character will suffer after the end of your shoot.

The project 100x100=900 (100 videoartists to tell a century) was born with this goal. It will celebrate the anniversary of 2013, conventionally considered the 50th year of videoart (dated from a Nam June Paik video installation in Germany).
100 videoartists, from all continents, will be invited to participate in this project. Every of them will produce a video artwork inspired by one of the previous 100 years, a century. The pairings will be done randomly. All the videos will form a show that will be taked around the world during 2013.
A printed catalogue will support the show.
